Dashboards

Create comprehensive analytical views by combining multiple visualizations and data tables. Dashboards work across all connected sources and datasets, with automatic refresh and cross-panel filtering.

Dashboard Access

Navigate to Dashboards → All Dashboards to access the dashboard interface. The listing shows all available dashboards with search and sorting capabilities.

Dashboard Creation

From Fino Conversations

Click Add to Dashboard on charts or tables generated in Fino conversations. You are prompted to select an existing dashboard or create a new one. The system automatically configures visualization settings.

From Visualization Builder

Navigate to Dashboards → Visualizations to access the visualization builder. After configuring chart type, data, and formatting, click Save to Dashboard. Select the target dashboard from the dropdown menu.

Click New Dashboard in the dashboard listing. The system creates a dashboard with default settings and opens the editor interface.

The main editing interface displays a responsive grid layout. Panels are arranged using a 48-column grid system with drag-and-drop positioning and resize handles.

Panel Management

Click the + button to add new panels. Available panel types include:

  • Visualization panels for charts and graphs
  • Saved search panels for data tables
  • Markdown panels for text content

Panel controls appear on hover:

  • Resize handles for dimension adjustment
  • Clone button for panel duplication
  • Delete button for panel removal

Time Range Controls

The time range picker applies consistent temporal filters across all dashboard panels. Time ranges persist across dashboard sessions.

Global Filters

Filter pills display active filters below the time range picker. Click Add Filter to create new filters that affect all dashboard visualizations. Filters support field selection, operator choice, and value specification.

Refresh Controls

Manual refresh button updates all dashboard data immediately. Auto-refresh settings are available with configurable intervals.

Dashboard Actions

View Mode

Dashboards open in view mode by default. All visualizations display current data with interactive capabilities enabled.

Edit Mode

Click Edit to modify dashboard layout and content. Edit mode enables panel manipulation, filter editing, and dashboard settings configuration.

Clone Dashboard

Click Clone to create a dashboard copy. Enter a new title in the clone modal. The cloned dashboard includes all panels and settings from the original.

Save Dashboard

Dashboard changes are saved automatically in edit mode. Click Save to persist changes and return to view mode.

Layout System

Dashboards use a responsive grid layout that adapts to different screen sizes. Drag panels to reposition them and use resize handles to adjust panel dimensions. Panels automatically snap to grid positions.

Filter System

Filter Creation

Click Add Filter to open the filter modal. Select field name, comparison operator, and filter value. Filters apply to all dashboard panels automatically.

Filter Types

Filters support multiple data types including text, numbers, dates, and boolean values. Available operators depend on field type and include equals, contains, greater than, and range operators.

Filter Management

Active filters display as removable pills. Click the X on any filter pill to remove it. Filter state persists across dashboard sessions.

Panel Types

Visualization Panels

Display charts, graphs, and custom visualizations created in the visualization builder. Visualization panels inherit data queries and formatting from their source visualizations.

Data Table Panels

Show tabular data with sorting, pagination, and export capabilities. Data tables support column configuration and cell formatting options.

Markdown Panels

Contain formatted text, documentation, and static content. Markdown panels support standard markdown syntax for text formatting and structure.
