Dataset Management

Manage your Datasets through Data → Sources → FinoDB in the sidebar.

Dataset List View​

Access via Data → Sources → FinoDB to view all your imported datasets.

Display Information​

Each dataset card shows:

  • Dataset name - Unique identifier
  • Health status - Color-coded health indicator (green/yellow/red)
  • Record count - Total records stored
  • Storage size - Disk space used
  • Creation date - When dataset was created

List Actions​

  • Search - Filter datasets by name using the search box
  • Scope filter - Toggle between local datasets and external sources
  • Sort - Click column headers to sort by name, records, or size
  • Refresh - Update dataset information with refresh button

Dataset Detail Page​

Click any dataset name to open the Detail page with comprehensive information.

Overview Section​

  • Record count - Total records in dataset
  • Storage size - Disk usage
  • Health metrics - Dataset health status
  • Field count - Number of unique fields

Field Explorer​

  • Field list - All fields with their types (text, numeric, date, etc.)
  • Field statistics - Data distribution and cardinality information
  • Searchable fields - Which fields support full-text search
  • Aggregatable fields - Which fields can be used in aggregations

AI Insights Panel​

  • Auto-generated questions - Suggested queries based on your data
  • Key insights - Important patterns discovered in the dataset
  • Field recommendations - Suggested fields for analysis

Available Actions​

  • Start a conversation - Opens Fino AI Assistant to query this dataset
  • Enrich context - Add custom metadata to improve AI understanding
  • Delete dataset - Permanently remove the dataset (with confirmation)
